Corey was asked to volunteer for an experiment his teacher, Ms. Sharon, was conducting in class. He was told to stand still in front of his fellow 5th graders and take a chewable pill. Slowly, he began to shrink until he was the size of a grape. Above him, he saw the amazed faces of his massive friends peer down at him. Ms. Sharon pinched him up off the ground and placed him on the projector. Next to Corey stood a wild mant Ms Sharon had brought from home. She showed the class how similar their anatomy to each other was, the only difference was that mants were born smaller. Naturally the bell rang and the class ended. Corey stood there helpless waiting for his teacher to grow back in size. However, her face was in her computer, typing up an email for someone. He waited. A group of girls started to leave the classroom. “Molly,” commanded Ms. Sharon to the girl walking out, “would you mind carefully placing the mant in the jar on the table and giving it to me.” Molly nodded and walked up to the table. Corey was knocked back by her mass as she scanned the area. Corey even looked to see where the mant had gone, but he couldn’t find him either. Unfortunately, Molly had locked her eyes onto Corey and, in one swooping motion, clasped her fingers around his miniature body. She dropped him in the jar and handed it to Ms. Sharon. She thanked Molly and, without looking, dropped Corey’s prison into her purse. “I wonder what she’ll do to me?” thought Corey as he pounded against the walls.
