You know half-tracks aren't very useful anymore. I get that the old designs were pretty neat, but half-tracks are:
1. a pain in the ass to maintain as you need to know both automotive and tracked vehicle maintenance skills to keep the engine, tracks, and wheels in working order
2. open topped vehicles are very dangerous and typically good targets for anyone with a molotov, grenade, or IED
3. Poorly armored and armed
and 4. absolutely outdated due to traditional tracked vehicles having more versatility than half-tracks as they are not able to fully go off road while tanks are able to do off and on road (though the metal tracks may make paving it a hell of a job once the army has marched through.)
