Backstory: Born from another realm outside of the campaign's current setting, Valthinos witnessed the massacre of everyone in his home village as it burned to the ground by the hands of demons. In a moment of desperation, he swore to the god of vengeance Hoar to rid the existance of demons everywhere so that no one would suffer the same hardships. Hoar heard his plea and bestowed upon him the power of a paladin. He was later flung into a dimensional warp and landed in Auldrant. There, a noblewoman fleeing her home would hire him as a personal bodyguard, as well as hiring an elven mage. They fled to the continent to Vesteria, where the main events of the campaign would take place.
