The only pokemon in franchise with a kill count in the double digits, who killed at least one technician in the movie out of sheer apathy for her safety, who at one point plotted the total genocide of humanity, and after all the times Ash and co and other humans helped it out over the span of 20 years still views humanity as irredeemably evil.... frolicking in a glade with some bulbasaur.....
Its a lovely scene and I love it a lot but I seriously can't see MewTwo doing that anymore then I could see Hitler playing with kittens on a carpet in front of a fireplace. MewTwo may not be as bad as Hitler but it is definitely evil, a pokemon that even when its being friendly you shouldn't be comfortable calling a friend as it'd abandon you the moment you got in its way whether human or pokemon.

Based solely on his appearance in the first movie I would not disagree. But in follow-ups he becomes more of a hero than a villain. And so I would pose this question; What is better- To be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort. Personally I lean towards the latter because I really like these types of characters and find them fascinating. No judgement against those who prefer completely moral characters, to each their own.

I'd agree with you if not for the fact evil is intrinsic to the nature of MewTwo's existance as being the pokemon equivalent of Frankenstein's monster. This is made worse by that serum Dr. Fuji gave him that essentially robs him of his emotions, empathy and by extension conscience. MewTwo can't really overcome his evil because hes incapable of recognizing his evil until somebody points it out of him. That's not to say MewTwo doesn't know right from wrong, more that if he encounters a new scenerio where we'd use our empathy to indicate to us whether something maybe wrong or right, MewTwo doesn't have that ability.

This raises a good point that Mewtwo, despite the circumstances surrounding his creation, can always choose to life a life of peace and to do good with his powers.
In this picture, the Bulbasaurs seem like Mewtwo's pets, almost as if Mewtwo was a trainer himself.
