The Cardium class is the icon of the Ultra fleet 5 of these massive ship compose the spyne of the system working as the main nodes that mobilitate the troops, manage the logistics and resource gathering, formidable but somewhat vulnerable ships, due to their immense size and bulk but they're always surrounded by their flotillas of frigates, destroyers, mobile refineries.
Cardium class ships main role is to move closer to the danger zone the production and logistical lines to strenghten the presence of the Ultra in the sector, Cardiums infact are able to produce supplies, new ships and warmachines to feed the Ultra operations and deploy these supplies and new troops to the front thanks to a network of ships and sub-ships.

Cardiums specialized tasks:
Cardium - 1 Alpha: Planetary assault operations, Orbital bombarments
Cardium - 2 Beta: Spaceborne dominanace, Diplomatic and Humanitarian aids
Cardium - 3 Gamma: R&D, Specialized mission forces, weapon testing
Cardium - 4 Delta: Precision strikes, special operations
Cardium - 5 Omega: Large scale resource gathering, large land machinery deploy
