April is a very cute character, and I really like this rendition of her. I really like how simple her limbs are.
One thing I do note is that while you used cel shading for most of her, the highlights on the eyes are very soft. I would suggest using cel shading on the eyes as well, so they match the rest of the piece. Right now it almost looks as if her eyes are blurry. I notice you do this with the patterns on her fur as well, but I think it works there because, well, it's fur. It conveys its texture well.
But yes, April is a pretty nice and simple design. I'd love to be able to draw her myself sometime!

Yeah, cel-shading is relatively new to me as of late - a lot of experimentation (that just so happens to yield good results), but you're right, for the eyes, that's a good idea, and I'll keep it in mind next time. And honestly, the in-depth comment is one I don't get very often, and actually inspires me to do more!
(Ever since my tumblr started picking up, I find myself on dA a lot less.)

Well I think you're doing a really great job with it. Your art style is very cute and simple.
I've followed you on Tumblr, so I look forward to seeing more of your characters there! It's awesome you have such a large following there, probably because you have such cute characters. I wish I could have that many people interested in my art, but unfortunately life isn't giving me much time to draw right now, so I can't keep people constantly entertained.
And I think I will definitely draw April in the future!
