Finally managed a design for my Sadida OC Myrrah, that separates her from both the default character design and from Amalia's design.

Myrrah! What a cutie. I like the colors, they work well together. The shade you picked for her hair is the nicest!
Nice work on the pose and expression too. She looks so innocent ^^ might want to be careful with the breast/waist/hips proportions, tho, I noticed you're exagereting these a lot and I'm not so sure about it.
And bravo for making her unique instead of just "the default character drawn in your style"!

But yeah, this set of proportions is a bit more overboard than I'd like, even I can agree with that - but it also felt kind of okay after looking at it for too long, so I just figured I wouldn't mess with it. XD I'll make sure to keep an eye on that. UwU
And yeah, in the end, when none of my ideas in my head were working out on the screen, I just went to the episodes and checked the background characters for inspiration. And it worked surprisingly well!

Mh, I guess the problem is that you make the breast and hips bigger, but not the waist. I see this often with December's mom, and April sometimes. I guess knowing it is good enough already, it's not like you were totally not aware of it.
Aaaah, awesome idea! NPCs would be a good source of inspiration, too.

No, I can agree; you're not the first to point it out, and it's something I've been thinking about for awhile. Problem is, I guess it's stayed in my style long enough that if I let it happen, it doesn't immediately strike me as wrong (notwithstanding this particular Myrrah picture, because this is too extreme even for my tastes, but I was too lazy to fix it hhhhhh).
But there's that trade-off; the internal debate of "should I keep this overly-exaggerated body type, or should I fix it, and if I do, then just by how much? Just how bad does it need to be to warrant that step towards rectification, and what will I lose if I do it?" - that kind of thing.
What this needs is a nice long sketching session. And I just need to be not-lazy enough to actually do it. And even then, there's the problem being that I am the most inconsistent artist I know
