While I do love drawing Anika, her facial markings are lovely, Ialso want to draw Irvine too. I don't know if this is an adolescent or chibi picture, but darn it's cute xD
When I draw Stryx, I seek reference from birds - and dinosaurs! I imagine when walking on land, the tail causes them to walk more like a theropod than the birds we have irl. If you look at a running ostrich and a running dromaeosaurid, the difference is huge. I also imagine Stryx tails aren't like the tails of eastern dragons, but a bit more stiff.
