I was very intrigued by how you did this piece, which is why I chose to critique it! Looking at this picture you really know how to do digital art. Your vision for the character is great, as many of his characteristics can be seen well. To me a portrait is great if I can see some of the character of that person, which you have done very well here. The background also fits in and doesn't distract that much from the character. For originality, many of these kind of pictures have been done before, however you were able to show off your style off of it, which does show a lot of distinction. For technique, your lines are very smooth and your coloring is very clear. Great job!
However I do want to point out some small details. For instance, it looks like his neck is too long or stretched out. My only suggestion is to shorten it a bit, maybe remove a quarter of its length. Also, while how you shaded the hair and face is fine, the clothing shades seems a tad weird (mostly the hoodie). The way you shade clothing depends on its material. for instance, the way you shaded it looks fine on some fluff on a jacket, but with a sweater like what he's wearing, the shades are a little more defined. This issue is minor but also pay a bit more attention to light source, some spots have shades or light where it seems like it shouldn't, like at his right of the hoodie and his right sleeve.
Overall, great work! Your lineart is great! Just improve on the neck and the shading e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/>
