Hohoho~ Masaki is being angry here. Because of his green hair, he is nicknamed the 'Tree of Suna'.In his past, he was also bullied because of his hair. However, he regained his confidence after he met Yuichi, who is now his team mate.
But still, I think it suits him. The "Tree of Suna"....XP

Well, I guess it has something to do with genes. He was born in Sunagakure and both his parents have normal dark coloured hair. His parents are carriers of the green hair gene I guess since his great grandparents were from a different village.
