I'm both nervous and excited to finally be sharing this news, but ..

The project is ALIVE!!

Origin
For those of you who don't know.. Nearly a decade ago, I began this fan animated series inspired by The Legend of Zelda, called: Sundial of Shadows. You're welcome to view the first (attempt) episode here Long-story-short, I was ill-prepared and eventually had to end it. The series was dead, but the project was only put aside..

..Until now

The Story
For a number of months now I've been working through the preproduction stages of SoS; that includes the writing and concept art. I kept it a secret until I was absolutely sure I had the strength to pursue the project fully.. And here I am! After much preparation procrastination for this announcement.

If anything positive came from the cancellation of TTB's book publication, it's that I was given the freedom to choose whatever project I was most interested in following next. Funnily enough, it was during the making of the 5th chapter that I began lending my attention a little to SoS, to keep my brain entertained. During the lethargy of my post-book-cancellation depression, and after much art block recovery, I got the chance to truly consider reviving the animated series. I became inspired - A feeling I haven't had in a long time, and one I believed I'd never have again - It was as though my soul had been revived!

I acknowledge that it's an ambitious project, and I wouldn't be making this announcement if I wasn't sure I could hack it. I'm worried, scared, doubtful and excited - Nothing I don't already experience on a regular day - But I'm certain of my will and desire to bring this story to be, besides, what else would I be doing with my time, but creating?
The Conclusion
We’re only into the early stages now, so I can’t say for sure when the production of the first episode will take place, and I don’t want to make any promises. I’ve been planning for the story very carefully, and I’d like to be certain of all the details before I begin the official series.

The reason for the series' original cancellation was that I didn't have the financial backing to support the time and energy such a project requires.
$1 a month. It all adds up, and would make a great difference to the progression of the preproduction.
But I’m certainly not asking for your help for nothing. As a patron you’ll have exclusive access to hidden content, such as WIPs and concept art relating to the project (which means early clues about the direction of the story!) And here’s a thing I’ve always wanted to do but never got the chance, you'll have a special mention in the credits of the first episode.

It goes without saying that the final episodes will be free for everyone to view. I wouldn't have it any other way!
