Synopsis:
Thicker Than Blood takes place in the 17th century era, it is a fictional world where humans co-exist with the demonic creatures of mythology. We follow the story of a young man named Salvador and his extraordinary experiences whilst serving as a royal soldier of The Five Crowns. A guild founded by the first five Nobles, whom centuries ago, released the city from the terrible reign of the vampire lord, Anubis. To this day, the royal soldiers continue to defend the city's populace against the demonic servants left behind by the vampire lord.

No actually I quite like it. The expressions and poses have a flow and ease that the earlier pages don't capture as well for some reason. There was a rigidity that is now gone thanks to looser lines. Many times 'simpler' is better, and in this case I think it is. The details don't distract from the story and characters.

True, I think the style of the first chapter was just brilliant to show off. xD By that I mean, it is a style made for covers and illustrations, but in the comic itself the new style certainly blows minds. I think that hardly anything got lost, while on the contrary a lot was won. (I just kinda miss Fathom's beautiful sky blue eyes <3 <3 <3)
