Ah Diarmuid, if there was just one fictional character I'd want to hug, it would be you!!!Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, Lancer of Fate/Zero. Why your life story so tragic mannn ToT Thinking back maybe I should've made a more action pic, but the character is just too sad, and that's what stuck with me T_T *falls off chair*
The last of my new prints for Otakuthon 2012. Now I'm gonna go lie down X_X Slept at 6:30 in the morning because I was preparing files for printing.
Still need to work on my clouds... waiting for your brush pack *hinoraito LOL.
I had a lot of fun shading his Gae Dearg and Gae Buidhe!
Spent much of my time coloring this to Naraku no Hana by Eiko Shimamiya lol... so sad!

Awesome work, especially the weapons! Diarmuid was always one of my favorite servants and he definitively did not deserve his rather tragic death....dying in battle would be fine with him I think, but instead he got the worst possible outcome.

Ooo, I don't know too much about Irish myths, but I'm thinking about furthering my knowledge on them. It seems like quite an interesting culture (their bad luck aside of course @.@).

(MOAR pedantry - to be technical, the irishes and bretons are two separate branches of 'insular celts' cultures, related closely but like cousins. On one side, Irish and scottish gaelic languages, Manx, and on the othe, Breton, Welsh, Cornish...
It goes also for myths - I check a bit irish myths like Ulster cicle, and the welsh mMalnibogionsomething, its oddly different)

Even though you say you are waiting on a brushpack, I am loving the atmospheric perspective going on it this piece. I think when you get the pack, you should mainly focus the detail near the moon lit area while leaving the underneath that misty softness.

I think my ultimate goal would be to paint believable clouds with any brush, but I didn't have time to explore that with this pic due to my printing deadline (which was today *dies*). I'll definitely work with more patience on the next image with clouds!
