Your photo catches the viewer by it's simplicity; we all have seen leaves, but few of us managed to really see the beauty of the leaves. There is nothing spectacular about the leaf itself, but the scenario given creates an interesting perspective of everything.
The light is very good (it seems you've caught the rays of the sun behind it), and the water drop makes the photo even more dramatic. Also the clarity is amazing.
Your photo adds more meaning for the concept "beauty is in simple things"
This photo can be very good for a book-cover or a tableau.

Know that I am very flattering by your criticism, it me was delighted.
You are right on the fact that there is nothing particular in this photo, but as you say, by her simplicity, she has all her charm... What makes of her of exceptional...
As for the rays of the sun, they were a little worked again. What gives her this tint, this clarity and the transparency of the leaf.
I completely agree with you on the fact that the beauty can be a part of things simple. It is enough to look sometimes what surrounds us (I speak about nature).
But from there to say that that could make a cover or a tableau touches me profoundly.

When I first saw it, I pictured it on the wall, as a tableau, or as a book cover - there it should fit way more better than on a website

This is what makes photography "writing with light" - each viewer can create it's own story upon a photography, and for sure the story the creator never thought of, or it was just a thought that passed as soon as it arrived
I do trust you will manage to create amazing light-stories

You are completely right, there is different way of interpreting the photo, the look will never be the same between the spectator and the author of this one...
Fortunately, because the look which I have on mine dull me at times...

What a wonderful composition of capture, light and color.
The little insect seems really to enjoy the last warm light of the day. It gives the feeling that there must be some sun.
The nearly falling drop ... a last remaining evidence of the rainshower. It reminds me of a walk in a forest after a rainshower and the smell of it.
The soft and green colors round up everything.
It represents the feeling of autumn... as strange it was this year along the whole planet.
The signature is placed well, without disturbing the picture.
All in all a well taken picture of a autumn moment.

As you say it, we had a rather special but extremely beautiful autumn... The autumn is magnificent for that... I reassure you I well had the rain before getting the image, the weather was yucky, and then a bright period, and here is the result.
Really satisfied that that pleases you, I shall like having criticisms like that more often.

Je me sers du copyright pour protéger mes photos, quand certains voient une suite de nombre ça dissuade.
C'est pas des chiffre en l'air, elles sont vraiment protégées.
