This episode took me to feeladelphia, i've cried twice with MLP, in Tanks for the memories and this beautiful episode right here! i even watched the episode twice and cried again! (also with Tanks for the memories lol).The story is incredibly relatable to my life, where my lil sister and i have this amazingly awesome sister bond, and i remember my brother once telling me that he would like to have that same bond too and he felt a little jealous. He's always been very reserved when expressing himself when it comes to love and caring for us, he's gotten a lot better since i left home though, telling me how proud he is of me ^_^
so yeah, it hit pretty close to home! like, super bunch.
There's something about BigMac that makes him incredibly adorable, and how he opened up in such an honest way.. it's just so relatable you know?
Making him one of my favorite characters. Definitely the Apple family is just super amazing! i love them all, and Granny Smith always makes me crack up!

I'm actually surprised there hasn't been more fanart from this episode in my group messages. I have also cried watching some episodes, but I didn't cry in this one xD
I cried in Tanks for the Memories when all of them started crying at once. xD
But yes this episode was very touching. I thought it was adorable

In Tanks for the memories i cried when she sit down and read him a story, i've had pets that have passed away, so i took it to heart.
I remember many people complaining about how Dashie was crying, that it looked 'ugly' and 'too much'; this people have clearly not cried their guts out lol.
When my pets died, i didn't care how 'pretty' i was crying, i was just devastated and full of mucus!
Anyway, yes, these scene to me, has been one of the sweetest of the show, it truly inspired me, and i'll be doing more fanart of this episode.

I can't believe people were calling Dash "ugly" and saying it was too much to see her crying. Honestly, how insensitive can people be? :l I know she's a cartoon character, but she conveys real feelings in real situations - all the MLP characters do. That's why I love the show so much. It FEELS real. So I think Tanks for the Memories was a good episode for RD's character development and for making her seem even more real, like she's learning and growing in the same way a real person would. Shame on people for saying she looked bad or it was stupid that she cried. I'm glad for the character development. Static characters are boring and lifeless.

I agree, they are doing a great job with character development. The only one i don't quite understand though is Rarity,
i like her, visually and her voice, i also like the fact that she loves making dresses for her friends, since she is the element of generosity..
what i do not understand however, is her manipulative way of getting what she wants, her 'sweet talk'
to me, that is not good, as is teaching kids that by being pretty and flirt, you can get stuff.
I would love to see an episode where it doesn't work out for her and she crushes into insecurity, or just learns
that that it's just not cool.
Perhaps, as a lover of the show you can share you opinions and give me another outlook on this?

I'm glad that you agree with me 
I agree with what you're saying about Rarity. I don't like her "sweet talking" either... It is manipulative, and on top of that, it's as if Rarity is using her appeal to gain things for herself, which is the opposite of generosity. Her element is supposed to be about giving, not about manipulating others so she can get something for herself. I understand in some ways why the creators do that, though; it's similar to Rainbow's situation... Waaaaaay at the beginning, when we first met Rainbow Dash, she was a royal bitch. Let's be honest. She was REALLY mean. She didn't seem like the kind of friend you could trust or rely on, like the embodiment of loyalty. But then she learned and grew through the seasons, in every episode, with the help of her friends. She's still Rainbow Dash, but she is also much nicer and more willing to listen rather than thinking about herself. I think it's a great improvement. Maybe that's what they're trying to do with Rarity; right now, she still acts manipulative sometimes, but maybe in the future they will have an episode that addresses that. It would be a great episode

that's exactly it! i do agree with RD being reaaaaally rude in the beginning, everything that wasn't related to her she referred to as lame,
or if she was asked a favor, she'd just be like 'i'm outta here' which is the opposite of loyalty.
I feel they might address Rarity's manipulative ways in an episode with Spike, i really hope they do this and also think, that that would be a great episode.

Yeah (: Actually I think it'd be really cool if they addressed it with Spike somehow, especially since dragons are supposed to be the embodiment of greed, and Spike has a crush on Rarity. That'd be an interesting episode
