Me and Jack hung out all of Saturday. I wish it had felt more right but I couldn't help it if it felt wrong. When i came to around 9 Jack walked me home. When he'd gone I rang Shannon. "Shannon I have a major problem!" "What's up Beth?" "I don't think it's gonna work with me and Jack." "What?! Why?! You two are perfect together!" "I know it's just when I was with him this morning it felt totally wrong!" "Beth you need to see what happens wait a few days and see what happens." "Okay is it alright for me to come to your's tomorrow?" "Yeah Beth of course!" "Cool I'll see you then. Bye!" "See ya!" I hung up and was a bout to get in bed when my phone rang. "Hello?" "Beth it's Jack." "Oh hey! What's up?" "I just wanted to say goodnight to you." "Okay night Jack love you loads!" "Night Bethie and love you more." He hung up and I went to sleep.

Monday at school I met up with Jack and he was acting weird as if he felt it wasn't right between us. It came to lunch and I met up with Jack "Hey Jack." "Hey Beth. We need to talk." "Okay. What's up?" "I like you I really do but it feel's wrong. I'm sorry but we need to break up." "Okay." "I hope we can still be friends though." "No. We can't it would be awkward and I don't need you in my life to be happy." I walked off and found Shannon on her own under a tree. "Shannon he dumped me he felt it wasn't right either." "What? But you two are so good together." I looked at her and began to realise why it felt so wrong. She had recently dumped a guy because he tried to make a move on me and I realised I wish I'd let him.  "Shannon have you still got Dan's number?" "Yeah why?" " I need it." She gave me his number and we went to our next class we had biology. The only good thing about it is we sit next to eachother. Class dragged on and by the end of it the whole class was falling asleep.

When the final bell rang we all slowly got up and left. I said bye to shannon and then went home. My parents weren't in so I went straight to my room. I got changed and got my phone from my bag I had two missed calls from Ryan. Ryan and me had been friends since we were like 5 and ever since we'd always been the best of friends. I rang him back to see what he wanted. "Hey Ryan." "Beth! Hey!" "You rang me. Twice." "Yeah I kinda need some help." "Sure Ryan what's up?" "So you know shannon? I like her. A lot." "Really? Ask her out then!" "No! I'm too scared to! What if she say's no then it'll be awkward." "Do you want me to talk to her for you? Found out if she likes you?" "Please Beth! You're the best. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye." "See ya Ryan." I hung up and rang Dan. "Hello?" "Hi Dan it's Beth." "Oh hey Beth what's up?" "Do you wanna meet up?" "When?" "Now?" "Sure meet at the park in 10." "See ya then Beth" He hung up and I set off it was a 5 minute walk to the park but I could foind somewhere to sit whilst I waited for him. I found a place near where he would come into the park and just sat thinking.

I saw Jack with a girl it was the girl he had gone out with before me. From what I'd heard he'd dumped her the day before he asked me out. I shouted her "Chloe!" She turned and saw me and came running to hug me. "Hey Beth!" "Hey! How long hve you been with Jack for?" "3 weeks today. Why?" Jack was near us by this point but I had to tell her. "Jack can you give us a minute?" "Sure." He moved away from us and I began to think how I could tell her. "He told me he dumped you." "What when?" "He said he dumped you thursday and he asked me out friday and because I thought you weren't together I said yeah. He dumped me earlier today." "What?! So he told you he dumped me and because you believed him you said yeah when he asked you out?" I nodded. "Chloe I'm really sorry but I had to tell you I didn't want you getting hurt and hating me further down the line." "Beth you did nothing wrong it was Jack." She shouted Jack back over. "Jack Beth just told me something very interesting." "Yeah what's that then?" He went to put his arms round her but she rejected them. He looked sad. "Jack no. Look it's over you cheated  on me and lied to my best friend! I never wanna see you again!" She hugged me and walked away in tears. "Beth why did you tell her?" "Becasue she has a right to know if her boyfriends decetful." I ran up to chloe. "He isn't worth it Chloe." I hugged her and she stopped crying. "You're right I'll see you at school Beth. I need to put this plan into action." "Good you have a plan! I've gotta go anyway I'm meeting Dan" I hugged her one last time and she left.

Dan walked into the park just as she left and he came up to me. "Wow Beth you look so different." "I hope you mean that in a good way." "Yeah definatly a good way." I smiled and he took my hand. "Dan remember wh-" He interrupted me. "When  we nearly kissed?" I nodded. "Dan I kinda wished we had kissed." "Really?" I nodded and he dragged me to a part of the park that where we couldn't be seen. He sat down and dragged me with him and I landed on his lap. He looked into my eyes and I felt a connection he was the one and he felt it too. He leaned in. We kissed. It was the first kiss that truely meant something to me. It was one of thos kisses where you would hear church bells and fireworks in the fairytales. After the kiss we hugged and for a moment it felt like we were the only two people on the planet but that moment was brought to a halt when Shannon spoke. "Beth?"
