So it's been 12 years. More than a decade.
But it's been 10 years since I set foot into Kakariko for the first time. Since then the village had a very big meaning in my life. It was a kind of symbol for peace.
Also the theme music burnt itself in my heart like just a few pieces of music did back then. I was 10 years old. Just entered Music Junior High. Managed to get thrown into the worst class ever - with a task. Saving the innocent and giving them hope. Yeah - sounds almost like I've been a little female Link then? Probably. Back then I didn't know. I just did what felt right, though it nearly killed me inside. I helped people who weren't accepted by these other jerks in the class. Helped them to stand true to themselves, though I couldn't as I was punished for being myself either. And there was this melody. It gave me hope. Ever since. It makes nightmares end.
I really liked to be in Kakariko. Especially at dawn when the birds sang or at dusk. 10 years ago. This was the time when my mother had to accept that I've got more from my father than she liked. She didn't accept yet. But who cares. I'm a proud gamer-girl and even prouder LoZ-Fan. And Kakariko in OoT is the first fictional place I could call something like my home.
