Rated as one of the best battleships in known space. The Xintrin War Galleon is so revered among the Xintrin Merchant Guild that it is the only ship design they make that is not for sale. It is the ship-of-the-line in the Xintrin trade fleets and is the best ship the Guild's money could buy....and the guild has a lot of money.
The ship is equipped with 20 anti-ship torpedo tubes, four heavy particle beam cannons, two heavy maser (microwave laser) cannons, two capital-scale plasma ejectors and a multitude of point-defense maser turrets.
And like all Xintrin ships, it is capable of hauling large amounts of cargo in its internal holds and in seven external storage containers. With a maximum speed of 420C (420 times the speed of light, it is the fastest superluminal vessel in known space. In sub-light speed, where battles are fought, its speed is about average. But that's because, like all Xintrin vessels, the galleons were designed as cargo and merchant ships first, and warships second.
The effectiveness of the design makes many species wonder what the Xintrin could do if they placed combat as the primary design feature.
