Description Based on an object I found in museums in Europe which was used between about 1180 and 1220BCE. They consisted of an ornate handle, of cast silver or gold, or carved ivory, with fork tines, and a spoon bowl with loops into which the fork tines would slide. These objects were carried by wealthy merchants.

This piece has 6 handles carved from (responsibly sourced) exotic woods, a formed silver spoon bowl, and a cast fork end. The handles screw into the fork bit. The box is rosewood with silk covered cushions and sterling silver hardware.

There's an awful lot of wood working in this project, but it was made for a casting class, thus the metalwork category.
