CHROME USERS (and possibly other internet users), it may take a few times of refreshing for this to loop or play.I initially wasn't going to upload this to my DA because I didn't really think it was worth it. But then it grew on me while I was making it, and eventually, I fell in love with it. Got to do a bit of trial and error in this.
A really short MAP part to get back into the groove of animating and raising morale (on my end). Lots of pain went into how to make an explosion look like an explosion.... And I think I made it 'work'... it isn't that great, but it does its job.

I find the basis compelling however there is still room for improvement in the colors and shading.
An addition of Shadows would take it a long way. I would also like to see cleaner lines and more more signs of battle such as dirt or scratches. The battle itself is great and I can see a lot of emotion between the characters as well as the determination they have. If you really want to maximize the experience I would advise that you get more help with all of it. A team effort can take your art to places you can't imagine.

While I agree that my colors and shading could improve, and more shading will make it look "professional", I was on a limited time frame in the making of these little CC Map sections. Most of my MAPs are completed in a few initial days because that's all the time I can offer for them.
Teams are nice to think about, but they rarely form and make good completed work for free (I can't afford to pay animators to work for me. I'm not rich). Not only that, but this is a MAP (Multiple Animators Project) part. The goals of these MAPs is that multiple animators obtain a section of a song and animate to it. So it's suppose to be done solo-style. These little fun animations are for my own enjoyment and for my own improvement. It's only a bonus if other people like them.
As far as scratches go, this was to tie into the previous MAP section before this one. The enemy hasn't laid a finger onto anyone yet at this point. That's why there is an absence of scratches.

I have a question, I need some advice since I'm completely new to the world of animations
I have noticed that your animations are pretty smooth in a way you can barely notice the "sketch" lines wiggling around, how do you keep it as smooth as possible? Any tips? I plan on using SAI for drawing each frame and animating it on Flash, these animations of yours are outstanding!

This is an amazing animation, the movements are excellent.
My only observation would be the next, throwing the spell with his hand looks a little odd,
it could improve its appearance; but overall it is a very good animation.
