My piece for this month's WolfXchange, Phoenixpie's new character called 'Africa', only I used the african spelling of it and named this picture Afrika.African hunting dogs are also called 'painted hunting dogs' or 'painted wolves'. Since her character was a wolf/painted dog cross with horns I just wanted to play with the 'painted wolf' name a bit.. so the character is painting himself.

That's really funny. I love it! I do wish the brush were a little more distinct from everything else; I sort of lose it there with the leg.

The concept [a wolf painting itself] is the coolest spin on the name Lycaeon Pictus I have ever heard. I commend you, this is just effing awesome!!!
