I've always been intruiged, what's the exact difference between the Celtic and Viking styles? They all look really similar to me.
I'm not bothered either way, being a Manxwoman, but I've always wondered...

I find Viking art styles, to be incredibly stylized. Most Celtic art, even early works and Pictish works, you can easily identify head, feet and body shapes. But with the Nordic styles, they tend to get more and more stylized until hardly anything is recognizable as 'animal shapes'.
