Now left a widow due to her husband Bertie's betrayal by his own second in command, there is little stopping Chloe from seizing complete control of The Syndicate and reshaping it to her liking.
Coming from a family with a long "proud" history of fighting against Octolings, she cares for continuing her family's legacy rather than plotting money making schemes like her husband did before her.

Unlike most members of Inkling society in general, she is highly conscious of the growing number of Octolings assimilating amongst them and feels paranoid of the Octarians conquering them from within.
Having spent much time as a member of the Inkling Deathsquad when she was younger, Chloe is very capable of handling herself in combat.
Few within the organization have yet to realize the implications of her taking over, though many are already preparing to launch bids for leadership themselves which may soon prove to be a fatal decision.

Despite the fact Bertie didn't care about Inkling dominance over the Octolings anywhere near to the extent she did, she still loved him all the same and was genuinely hearbroken by his death.
Judging by the way she promptly ordered her husband's betrayer to be hunted down and personally oversaw his execution, Priss had certainly better watch her back...
