Bülbül = "nightingale" in Turkish...I'm in love with birds these days so I wanted to try a modern bird shaped zoomorphic piece using Latin alphabet rather than Arabic...

wow ! is it a symbol that already exist as is, or did you add your personal touch ? I'm not sure I understand what you did... but it's beautiful and a bird was what I saw at first.

it is a zoomorphic calligraphy - that is I wrote the Turkish word "bülbül" which means "nightingale" in an artistic manner so that it will appear/seem like a bird

I find zoomorphic pieces rather difficult (sometimes much more difficult than diwani or kufic). You seem to have paid good attention on that one... Great job! (I am also curious to see a zoomorphic piece of arabic script...

They're indeed very difficult but that difficulty is partly due to the fact that in classical Islamic calligraphy they're done in a very complex manner; in my opinion a little bit over-done
I have done a few with Arabic calligraphy too but they aren't as good; hopefully I'll improve my Arabic script skills and make a nice zoomorphic piece using Arabic script
