Description Look! Not a canine!

I decided to draw something quick again. Now actually quick. So, this is the result. My first anthro cat in ages.

This cat © himself, I guess

Looks interesting, and yeah I hadn't really thought about it but you do draw a lot of canines. (Oh well, I always thought your canine anthros were top notch).

I like the outfit, there's a good amount of detail in the face and I like that you included whiskers (a lot of anthro artists don't add those, myself included).

The lines are a bit blurred, but they convey things well enough, I think the best parts are the eyebrows, irises, and the ears.

Why does he have two bumps above his eyebrows though?

Anyway, good job on this. Always good to branch out a bit and experiment.

Thank you!

Canines are my main subject to draw, I rarely try to draw other species, but this time I decided to be original and try something new.

I usually include whiskers, if I draw a fox or a cat, because it's natural for them and it makes a drawing more realistic.

My fav part of this sketch is his eyes I'd say.

I don't really know about these bumps, I usually draw them on canines and I added them here automatically. Maybe felines don't have them though.

Thanks again! Maybe I'll draw more different species in the future.

Of course.

It's good to experiment, though I don't think anyone would fault you for doing a larger proportion of artworks featuring styles/types that you have a lot of practice with (and hence can do very well).

Indeed, I just avoid any details I can get away with leaving out mostly because it's already very tricky to get the detail that I do include moving in a way that isn't choppy. Though I still do see a lot of still images without whiskers too.

Indeed, they look quite good, I like the shine effect and that shape the irises have.

Hmm, not sure, maybe this is just the first I'm noticing of them. Oh well, it doesn't really detract from things, it's just a bit odd.

No problem. Again I like seeing your canine of course, but it's interesting seeing other stuff as well.

Thank you!

I guess this cat wouldn't like, if somebody tried to pinch his cheeks; I imagine him as a grumpy, sad and nervous dude
I'm not sure will I draw felines more or not, but maybe, who knows.
