I'm alive everyone! Sorry for being away from dA lately. I've had a ton of real life things to deal with...Anyway, here's a small attempt to draw something detailed yet cartoon-ish. Edwin/Roger is my usual victim for such experiments

The colors and light shading look wonderful, I think I really like the slightly more "cartoon" styling here, even though you do the serious look really well it's kinda a nice change of pace.
*** The only thing I'd change stylistic wise would be maybe to make the nostrils in the nose a tiny tiny bit smaller next time.
The outfit looks really cool here though, I like the foot wraps, the extra ammo thigh strap, the hoodie, the bandanna on the neck below the face. All the colors on the clothes kinda go together with
nicely earth/nature colors as well (green, brown, tan).
The gun is also really well drawn, the little twigs/leaves for figure breaking camo is a nice touch, and really helps it stand out. The rifle also has great detail.
Looking forward to seeing if you draw more characters this way. Great job on this.
