You have once again captured such intense despair and desperation in such a simple drawing. I find that for me, when suicidal ideation escalates, the only way to cope with those aggressive and invasive thoughts is to step outside myself and imagine my body and my life as belonging to a different person. When I have completely transitioned from first-person self-loathing to a third-person objective perspective on myself, only then can I detach myself from my desire to kill the person I'm facing. I want to save them, not kill them, and yet I remain unsure how to save them. But for that moment - and for so many countless similar moments spent hovering on the brink - for that moment, my third-person compassion outweighs my first-person desire to die. So I survive... this time. Beautiful work here, as always.

I really enjoy the simplicity of the drawing coupled with the complexity of the meaning. This piece of art almost feels more real then a super realistic detailed portrait.

I can't tell if the soul is whispering something in order to escape the entry wound, or is holding its arms up in defense, asking for a moment to explain. Either way, a very powerful image. Thank you for sharing.
