Description
Old bulls of the kaimeran cachalot is among the largest animals in Kaimere. The most recognizable difference between this species and ours on Earth is the Kaimeran cachalot’s tallest dorsal ridge forms a more noticeable fin, but there are other markers. Young have pronounced counter-shading. It is presumed this may be a degree of camouflage, as the large sharks and mosasaurs that predate upon them have far superior eyes to the orca which are their only natural predators on Earth. However, adults do not possess this, and instead have a uniform dark grey coloration. As cachalot are assumed to hunt upside down like sperm whales of Earth, and the squid they favor have keen vision, a pale belly would be detrimental.

On average, Kaimeran cachalot are also slightly larger than the Earth species. Bulls continue growing throughout their 70-80 years of life, though it must be said the growth slows around their 50's. Bulls hit puberty at roughly 15-20 years of age and are generally considered adults by their 30's and a length of roughly 15-17 meters. The largest bulls can reach a staggering 23-25 meters, though these titans of the sea are extremely rare. Cows range between 10 and 13 meters, and calves are born 4 meters long.
