I also think it might be funny/practical if they carried young offspring in their arms if they had to cover long distances. Another concept I've been meaning to get to

Thanks! The latest I've read from Scott Hartman is that the muscle scarring suggests that their arms were not as strong as a few earlier studies implied. However, the sample size of tyrannosaur arms is pretty small so it's been argued that there might be some variation is arm strength. They certainly show no sign of the sort of trauma you'd find if they were used in hunting, but carrying prey in the 500-1,000 lb range (like a decapitated subadult Edmontosaurus lol) is still plausible to my knowledge and they probably wouldn't try to carry more than would be a strain. This frees up the head to bite nosey scavengers and brings the payload closer to the hips than carrying in the mouth, which would make it easier to carry
