Description Β  Β Feathered trilobites are named for the long display structures made from the last of their pleural spines. These reef dwellers have extremely dexterous mouthparts and are primarily herbivores, feeding on algae and floral detritus in the reefs and being important in keeping them clean and healthy. They are often quite colorful, with this red reef trilobite being a prime example.
