My infernal friend and I
Music inspires me a lot and usually this inspiration makes me wanna draw a portrait of a band member I currently adore [the most often: the vocalist ]. This time I got inspired by particular song and its lyrics: Devil on my shoulder by the awesome band Billy Talent.
I've been always attracted to fantasy, angels, paranormal phenomena, but also evil characters like demons, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, the Devil himself, gothic novels and movies and the dark side in general. I love rock, but the songs which I'm fond of the most, are dark, sad, loud and heavy
All these interests + my addiction to portraying gathered in this thing you can see above. It's a very simple and common concept, nothing really innovative, but I like it. I am also aware that the song Devil on my shoulder tells the story of a guy who made a deal with the Devil and now he's running away 'cause His Infernal Majesty's hellhounds chasing him, but... I wanted to make Lucifer my mate

A few more words about the drawing as a drawing:
The picture of me which I used was taken by my mum in September, but the idea of this portrait came to my mind in October and I started to draw it at the end of November and finished one week ago. I was basing on the reference pictures, but changed a bit: my hair, smile [now it's a tiny smirk ], make up, leather jacket, the Devil's head, shirt, leather jacket, boots and his right feet.
Wanted to draw the horns more ram-like, but they were too small and unrecognizable :c
The concept of flying newspapers taken from the video of Devil on my shoulder . Based of references, of course, 'cause I'm not so smart to draw them on my own. Not sure, if I caught the perspective properly.
