Description Hooray for Blossom! This is based on a sketch I did like, four years ago XD (you can view it in my scraps here: [link] ) I recently found the scanned pic of it, so I decided to vector it all nice and pwetty, and so here it is.

(actually, my favorite is Bubbles, but for some reason, I used to draw Blossom more )

I was initially going to submit this in the wallpaper section, but their subcategories are pretty limited so I figured at least it'd be more fitting in the vector art section... although, whether or not the ppg are actually people is debatable, but ah well. haha

the placement of text is my little homage to [adult swim] 's cards

anyhoo, please feel free to use this as your wallpaper! ^_^

Ah, not really once you get the hang of how to use the pen tool; I remember when I first started using it, I totally sucked and didn't understand what I was doing but then yeeears later I decided to actually LEARN Illustrator (at the time I was just messing around in Photoshop with the pen tool) and got the hang of it pretty quick anyhoo, the trick with doing vectors is drawing with shapes, not lines; if you're able to see a pic like that, then it's not too bad ^^ I really like it more than drawing because it's easier to "mold" the design XD although I'm not sure if all people have the same creating preferences as me

Cute!! You really do have the vector skills, I really need to kick myself into doing with different outline widths!! @__@ Anyway cute pic, I like the simplicity for use as a wallpaper (Though maybe I would like to see it with a pink BG and white text??? Hmmm.. I need to think about it.... )

hehe, yess!! I bet you would create some kick ass stuff with different outline widths!! i'm not sure how everyone else does it, but the way I do it is make a layer of the outline on the bottom, and create the entire shape, and then draw in the filling colors afterwards XD (actually, that's only IF i have a pic to guide me~~ if not, then I'd do the shapes first XD)

vector art is usually done with the "pen tool", which creates little anchor points that you connect to each other, and you can either create a straight line, or a curved line with the points, and you basically create a bunch of shapes, and that's how you make your picture most commonly people use adobe illustrator, but you can also use photoshop if you wanna try your hand at the pen tool! (no pun intended ) it's not exaaaactly the same, but it's pretty similar!

anyhoo, if you have any other questions, lemme know!! (although I'm nowhere near a master of teh vectorz ) and if you make any work, be sure to post it!! i'm sure it'd be awesome

One correction, Photoshop is not a vector program, vectores are lines made by programs that dont use pixeis as photoshop, vectores have a diferent correction proper of the programs and not pixels as photoshop, so they can be enlarge to what size you want and they dont pixelize, the best programs do vector are Freehand and Illustrater.

Oh yes, I am aware that Photoshop does work with pixels and not vectors! I'm sorry, I probably didn't explain well I was mainly telling him to try to use the "pen-tool" in photoshop if he doesn't have Illustrator, so he can get used to using that bezier curve thingy
