Description

So my headcanon is that saiyans ask their love-interest to become their mate using food. To be more detailed on this idea:
- It can be any kind of food, but better if it’s their love-interest’s favorite.
- To express their genuity, the food should be killed/collected/made by the proposer.
- As suggested by a friend on Deviantart (Thanks !), if the person being proposed to doesn’t want to eat the food, it’s a refusal; if the person only took a bite, maybe they are unsure but would like to try being in the relationship for a while (like a few months or so); if they gulp it all down, they’re up for a long term relationship!
- Many saiyans don’t do this though, seeing they can just walk up to someone and like “Hey, wanna mate?” when they feel like it. This little mating ritual is for those who want to have only one mate for a life-time (Basically by accepting it they are married.)
- Usually they would do this in private, seeing this kind of thing isn’t appreciated by saiyan society because it makes them look vulnerable showing sign of love.
