I used the gradient tool, I made sure it was set to just one colour so it blended with the background. You can use the lasso tool to select the area you want to colour ^_^ I hope that helps!

oht his is wonderful!!!!! i really love this!! I just have a question though. on the second step I tried doing that and what happened was that I coloured over the line art so I couldnt see it any more. Like I was trying to colour it green and when I put the green down it went over the linert so I couldnt see it anymore. I followed all of your steps and I cant really figure it out because im new t phtotshop and hope you understand my question.
Thanks for everything though!!!!!

First of all I am so sorry for the late reply, I have been trying to work my way through a mountain of messages.
Are you using layers? If you arn't then you will be painting directly on top of the lineart but if you do use layers then I guess the layer you are painting on is placed above your outline layer. If you go to your layers box which shows the individual layers you should move your outline layer to the very top, so when you paint on the layers below the outline will still show through.
I hope this is clear enough and it solves your problem, if not let me know and I will try and help you sort this ^_^

lol Its okay! No problem! I kind of figure that so I understand ^-^
This is very clear thank you so much!!! I get it better now and just one more question, Would you look the outline layer then colour over it?
Thank you so much!! Your very kind

What does it mean if after I shade in an area that was drawn with the pen tool, then I unselect it and try to make more shading it erases the other one? And doesn't inverse.
