My Contest entry for may competition of drawing Spirits offspring grown up with a mate, I added a foal too ^_^

Scout (Far Right)
- Son of Spirit and Rain
- 7 Year old Stallion

Antares (Middle)
- Daughter of Scout and Ginger
- 3 month old filly

Ginger (Far Left)
- Scouts mate
- 6 Year old mare

The Story.
Ginger and Scout were childhood friends who belonged to neighbouring herds, both parents of the foals were happy with this and did not mind the two foals playing. It was just coming up to Scouts 2nd birthday when news was uttered of the death of Tornado, Gingers father, killed in mysterious circumstances. Spirits herd was blamed for the death, though know one from Gingers herd knew exactly who to blame many accused Scout. His father told him he could never go back, as straying into there territory would be suicide. Devastated that he would never be allowed to see his friend again Scout eventually moved on with his life, babysitting his younger brother and sister and helping with the general management of the herd. It was a few years later when out patrolling the parameters of his father’s territory by chance he came across an old friend. The years had changed both of them and because of the circumstances both were hostile to each other at first, neither of them recognising the other. It was Ginger who realised first, and both were overjoyed when they realised who each other was. They talked about that fateful night, Ginger revealed that she always knew it was not Scout that murdered her father. After many secret meetings they were caught by Scouts father, who insisted that they should hide no longer and although both herds were displeased at this alliance, eventually they accepted it and the following summer Antares was born.

Ok so I am terrible at writing stories so I hope it suffices >_< I am semi-pleased with how it turned out. I haven't has as much time to spend on it as I wished but I would not have changed much. I did the line art ages ago and when I picked this up again a few days ago I was like *eww* but my computer was acting up and merged the line art with the base so I could not change either without spending hours on it. I was going to change gingers coat, as I really don't like it, but that was merged too >_< Anatomy wise it is terrible, but I think the foal has turned out ok, actually I really like the foal I think I might turn her into a character ^_^ Also I tried a spirit-style shading, so I hope it looks ok >_<
