Van loves making friends, he's sociable and kind to any and every Tibumeru he meets. He very much enjoys the company of others, and he's quite the social butterfly-- he isn't shy when it comes to approaching another Tibumeru, and he's likely to act like he's known someone for years within the first ten minutes of meeting a stranger.

He is possessive of his friends, and he dislikes sharing them with others. Childish and selfish? yes, and he knows he shouldn't be upset about the fact that other people exist in their lives besides himself, but this does nothing to appease the little green monster.

Though he is prone to jealousy, he's also forgetful. He is easily distracted by other people--once you have his attention, you have all of it; basically no one else but the person in front of him exists at the present time (with the expection of Awiti and Dathan).

Van is able to put off his emotions around people, and he often forgets his problems in the presence of a friend. He seems happy to someone who is only around him part of the time. He is quite the emotional sponge, sucking up the emotion of a person instead of reacting to his own.

★ History::

Van lost his memory at the age of fifteen, most of his life was simply a blur; he didn't remember his family or where he came from. He spent most of his time wondering the sea, trying to find something familiar and avoiding land. He eventually made a home with deep-sea pillbugs.

After years of avoiding contact with other Tibumeru, he finally went to shallower waters where he met his current friends. He was still afraid to go on land, but soon enough, these friends were able to lure him out of the ocean where he fell in love with music and art. Although he can't sing if his life depended on it, he enjoys singing along to songs he knows-- this being said, he's really obnoxious when bathing.

He moved in with Awiti, following her wherever she may go; honeymoon stage galore! That soon ended when he met Anna, his little sister. He had no recollection of his sibling, their older brother, Kaden, or their parents. His mind was in a whirl, and he came to the realization that he could easily forget about his friends and even Awiti. He began avoiding any affectionate touches or advances Awiti made-- always thinking about how she could be erased from his memory just as easily as his family did. Although Awiti assured him this wouldn't happen, he wasn't consoled. He did everything he could to hide these feelings, but he was unable to be there romantically for his mate.

As time passed, Van refused to let his memories fade, instead, he dealt with them. He still hasn't rekindled things with his sister, but he's more secure with himself. He understands what happened in his past wasn't his fault, and he remembers his parents in a pleasant light rather than in the fearful, guilt-stricken way he used to. He and Awiti are going on stronger than ever, talking about the possibility of having children in the future.
