Really nice and peaceful shot. I love the colours. So did you take the photo then adjust the look at add grungey brushes? I've given the brushes thing a try before but i can never nail it. Seems like you got the hang of it though cause it works well in your images.

I tweak the curves of the photo (for colors) and add a 'grungy' image upon the source image, make sure its de saturated and set the grunge image to 'Soft Light' or some of the other screening modes, works like a charm. (I'm assumig you're using photoshop)
