Description I've been debating for an hour wether or not to put this up. I've (like most people) have always had problems with my body. I always wanted to look like.. well like a barbie. What I wanted to be wasn't achievable by REAL people. I have scars across my ribs from heart monitor electrodes and i have a lot of scars and injuries all over my body, as my medical record isn't entirely great. We all struggle with seeing ourselves as beautiful, so I'm taking a stand. I'm sick of not being good enough, and Im sick of not being HAPPY with myself. This Picture means a lot to me, so please, be respectful.

anyways, this is my piece of the "Start a Revolution. Stop Hating Your Body." campaign.

I hope to see this project explode oevr the next few years.

The photo is brilliant, and the message that it is sending is extremely valuable - to everyone. You conveyed the message in such a superbly creative fashion that the viewer is forced to focus their attention on the concept being showcased (as they should).

Truly excellent work; definitely adding.

love it! the concept is amazing and i'm glad that you're not hating your body anymore! be proud of who you are and your uniqueness! it makes you you! and perfection is a horrible concept because it's impossible to attain so be proud of your imperfections!

I know i told you this already but I'm going to say it again...
"Scars are like tatoos with better stories."
even if its a tragic story it's still a story and played some part no matter how small in making you who you are today.

Too many people are obsessed with their physical appearance, we are who we are, we are all different and should love ourselves as we are... Inner beauty is much more important, at least to me... Be happy with yourself!!!

Yeah, I have scars all over my legs from a sickness I had a few years ago, and when I started High School, I joined the Cross Country team where all the girls wore really short shorts, and I wore long pants everyday for all of my freshman year. Sometimes I still have a problem with them, but I definitely all about learning to be more positive about ones body ^.^
Great picture.

thats an amazing story i have a lot of friends who self-injure who end up dealing with scars later on, but obviously self-inflicted scars are different. be proud! every scar is a story it sets you apart. every bruise is a battle you survived, dont ever forget that

We're all broken, beat and scarred. Some are just more or less willing to admit it.

Very well said. Though it is possible to just admit it and try your best to move on.

Thank you so much I hope this really turns the tables, especially for teenagers. Too many people die every year from eating disorders, a lot of the times- its simply people who don't think they're "good enough" and its SO not true.

I completely agree. I mean, I know a lot of people that try to be okay with them, but just aren't able to. It's really sad.
