I did this piece as a secret santa gift for the Valkyries group I was in. The person was a fan of both Sailor Moon and Adventure Time, so it seemed like a natural piece to draw And I'm a fan of both shows too! I hope she got it ok and liked it, I didn't hear back.

I know there's already a bunch of fanart of the girls from Adventure Time drawn of Sailor Scouts already, but I still felt like I had something to add. I looked for a few ideas, but I knew I wanted to do them my own way. The Ice Queen seemed like a natural correspondence to Queen Beryl, and I pushed her outfit to look more like Beryl's. Fiona of course already looks like Sailor Moon, and Cake is Luna though I didn't want to change her colors. The other girls I wanted to have the look of scouts, but I wasn't going with a direct correspondence to the other Sailor Moon characters so I more picked colors to match them. Overall I was leaning more Adventure Time style than Sailor Moon.
I also added an Artemis-y Me-Meow peeking evilly at the bottom.
I did the layout to be like a cover image.
It would have been nice to push the coloring a bit more, but I was already running late and wanted to get it done. I love how nicely the colors come out with these watercolor pencils.
This was also my first time using this paper, so it didn't blend quite as much as I wanted. I should have gone a bit heavier with the pencil.
