I think it's a technical compromise lol?Β Like they wanted to make her barefoot obviously, but her animation skeleton (the points the textures go over) were designed with heels from the get-go.Β So rather than completely redoing the model from scratch, they gave her those things.
If nothing else....certainly makes her a whole lot of wacky fun for hardcore cosplayers!Β
