The lama (Lama glama), sometimes called sheep camel, is a domesticated South American cattle breed from the Camelidae family. The name is from Quechua. [1]

The lama has a shoulder height of 109 to 119 centimeters, a head trunk length of 120 to 225 centimeters and a body weight of 130 to 155 kilograms. The coat consists of thick wool. The face is thinner hairy. The fur color varies from white to reddish and gray to black, both plain and spotted. There are two varieties, the chaku and the ccara. The chaku, the more general breed, has a fairly long, woolly coat, the ccara a very short coat.
