Ha ha - thanks - you should see my custom TWoK action figure then!  I was also having a conversation with John Byrne on his forum pages about the merits of Rand.  He featured her in one of his New Visions photo stories but effectively it was a story explaining when and why she left the ship just before the episode Space Seed.  I think I have helped persuade him to write her back onto the ship so she can appear in stories set later on - fingers crossed.  She might even come back as an engineering technician to foreshadow her role in TMP.  At least she won't just be handing out coffee if that happens.

He said he had found it hard to think of ways to write her into his stories whereas I found that if you accept that she was the female lead you would just naturally start to include her in scenes and write scenes that revolve around her.  She's got a great personality that the others, especially the junior officers can bounce off.  The Rand revival is a go!
