Dopamine was in the corner, surrounded by small objects, his hands laying on the floor and looking overall down. The auribell was noisy with Auri playing, but Dopamine could hear crystal clear the grunts and complaints about him. "Will any day be a good day?" Dopamine thought to himself.

Jewel tiptoed though the building, trying to avoid others looks. She felt so lonely...she hated scaring others. Its not like she could choose how she looked! She sighed and rounded the corner, only to duck into the shadows and hide. Another Auri! But..they looked...sad. Why? She tilted her head, her eyes shining in the dim light.

Dopamine looked up from the wooden floor and saw a curious but concerned auri looking at him. He hesitated in a reply, surely if this auri stopped by to look at him doesn't mind him? Still unsure, he forced a weak smile and waved with one of his hands, though it was clear he was still visibly upset.

Jewel's ears perked up slightly. They wanted her closer? Maybe she wouldn't scare them if... She stood up and slowly made her way over, becoming visible as she left the darkness.

Feeling more comforted that the auri meant no harm, or at least he was pretty sure he replied. "Hey..." he greeted the auri quietly, sitting up straighter.

Jewel blinked and sat down, not close, but not far away. This one certainly looked interesting...Why were they alone? "Hi..." Jewel said quietly, her voice much softer than her appearance.

Dopamine nodded slightly. "I'm Dopamine, and you?" he answered, a bit more confident now. The auri that came over had a peculiar look, but he like it. Not like he was stranger, he had disembodied hands floating around him and strange eyes.

"I'm...jewel." The Auri said. It was strange..this was the first time she said her name out loud. She liked the way it sounded. "Dopamine..." She repeated the name, then giggled. "I like that name."

"Nice to meet you Jewel, you have a nice name too" Dopamine complimented back with a more real smile. It was a little awkward, it seemed that neither of them are used to socializing very much. He also liked the chime of the name "Jewel", he never thought highly of his name since it was just the name of some weird chemical.

Jewel blushed heavily. She didn't know what to say. He liked her name? It was nice to meet her?? For a moment, she looked like she was about to cry, then smiled widely. "I-it's nice to meet you too..."

Dopamine smiled back, feeling better. Maybe not everyone wants to call him a freak. Why'd Jewel come over though? Maybe he should ask her, more out of pure curiosity. Most auri just, glare at him and leave. "Just out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking- Why'd you come over? MOst Auri never bother to acknowledge my existence.." He asked, a little unsure. He didn't want to seem ungrateful for the company, he enjoyed the company. he never really had any for more than 2 minutes.

Jewel looked confused a moment. "You looked sad..." She said quietly. "Why would others not acknowledge you?"

Dopamine was silent for a quick second. "I'm usually known as an obnoxious freak here, people don't bother doing anything with me, other than saying that I'm a freak" he replied, looking off to the side slightly.

Jewel looked surprised, then sad. "M-most Auri here just say im scary looking monster..." She said quietly.

"I don't think you look like a monster. I think you look interesting- in a good way" Dopamine tried comforting her, moving his long tail towards her side.

Jewel looked surprised again , then gave a small smile as a tear crawled down her cheek. "I dont think you're a freak..."

Dopamine smiled back, knowing that he's not alone comforted him. "Then I guess we'll be different together"

Jewel giggled slightly and scooted closer. "I like that Idea."
