hmmm i've seen a lot worse, back when i was in highschool teaching people how to use flash the stick animations that were coming out were pretty bad, but most of those weren't as nearly as bad as the stick animations i did when i first started using flash back in the day. (Thank god i lost all those animations when my old comp exploded <_<)

yeah, i had it easy though because i started early in highschool and just played with it, that's how you learn to use such programs, you just play with it. Talking about determination i don't seem to have a problem with that, sitting around working on a project for a good 5 hours in a row seems to be a synch for me, although it does test my patience now and then.
