The only flaw I can see is the helmet. It doesn't have the typical, evil-eyes that the Space Marine helmets of all shades, loyalist or traitor possess that makes them rather intimidating.
The lack of the intimidating eyes makes the image too blunt and reduces the normally aggressive appearance of the Marine to more of a statue or robot than a warrior.

Gotta tell ya, when you first showed me the sketch I thought I'd die from boredom. I was liek "Wtf?! How's he gonna make that interesting?!" Somehow you did make it quite appealing c: You were concentrating on bringing out the volume of the details and everything, the pale light is focusing a lot on the main character as well. You made the brush strokes very nice too and all
At most I'd complain a bit at the background, because it's all black, and all black is illegal when painting, always remember that You mix it while working layer after layer of shadows. If you make a background and want it to look black, you do the same, pick a base color that you want for your piece and cover the background with it (like I showed on the dreadnought!), then you start working more and more colors, like blue, darker blue, maybe some dark, cold brown, and then finally, for the darkest you can use black if it'll be needed. Otherwise, do avoid it as much as you can.

While sketching, i was imagining a lonely Marine, standing guard somewhere. Cheesy as it may seem, imagining things like this helps me a lot to put the desired mood into the picture.

its not cheesy at all! Soemtimes the best thing to do is imagine a situation for the picture before starting ^_^

woow I really like this one! the colors go well together and it's simple enough. Your works usually have a lot goin on so it's hard to focus but here the focus point is visible. And the shadows and the lightnign work well plus the rain gives a dramatic touch! Must say this is propably my favourite of your works so far. That robot thing looks cool! like the details going on there.

Nice work - I like the way the colours look desaturated to accentuate
to overcast lighting.
I wonder what the rain sounds like inside the armor though. Must be driving him nuts.
