The heavy footsteps behind you, gained your attention quickly. You spun around to see Dark Link approaching you. At first, you smiled at him, but you were quickly aware of his difference. Something was wrong and off about him. His eyes were glowing brightly of that color red and his skin…..His skin was black.

You gasped and took a step back from him. It was only a matter of mere seconds before you remembered that dark skin. That dark hair and evil glowing eyes. It was the demon with Dark Link. His true murderous nature that he kept suppressed all the time. The one that nearly killed you that night.

"Y-you…."you mutter. Dark Link grinned, his pearly white smile contrasting with his dark skin.

"I'm glad you remember me…I've been longing to see you dear _____. But even more..I've been longing to see your blood splattered on the floor and on my sword. To feel it as it trickles down my fingertips."he said in a darkly manor. Helio gasped and jingled in your ear.

"______ run!!"He commanded loudly, and you did not have to be told twice. You suddenly turned and sprinted away from Dark Link as fast as your legs could carry you. He followed as expected. Again you felt that fear you used to when Dark Link had first kidnapped you. Your heart beat thumped loudly in your ears and skull.

Dark Link rushed after you and was soon so close he was nearly stepping on your heels. You heard the swipe of his blade as he unsheathed it and sliced it across your back, leaving a deep cut.

"Ah!"You cried in pain as you stumbled down to your knees and hunched over. You panted heavily as you reached back behind you and felt your back. A shiver of fear and pain coursed down your body as you felt the warm trickle of your blood drip over your fingertips. You pulled your hand back to your face to see your fingers stained with the crimson liquid.

You gasped and looked back at Dark Link who was….licking your blood off the blade?

"Hmm…Tastes just like I thought it would….Time to finish you off girl.."He growled.

"Leave her alone!!!"Helio cried, suddenly flying into Dark Link's face and slamming himself against the man's forehead as hard as he could. Dark Link growled and stepped back as he swatted at Helio. Meanwhile, You stood, wincing as you did so.

"Helio!! Careful!"You cried. Dark Link growled and grabbed the fair tightly. You and Helio both gasp at the tight grasp. Dark Link grinned maliciously as he held Helio in a tight fist and began to squeeze. The fair coughed and wheezed while you cried. "No! Let him go!! Leave him alone!!!"

But Dark Link did not listen to your cries and please nor acknowledge them. In one move, he clutched his fist tightly and the low sound of tiny bones being crushed echoed in the air.Your eyes widen in horror as blood seeps out between Dark Link's clutched fingers and to the ground.

You fell to your knees slowly and watched the blood fall. Dark Link smirked and tossed the limp fairy's body over to you. As you cupped Helio in your palms, Dark Link's smirk suddenly vanished. He gasped quietly as he felt the beating of his heart echo in his ears. The burning pain in his chest returned and he found himself clutching at his shirt and falling to the ground.

His breathing was heavy and rigid. His body shook and his stomach churned, causing him to suddenly vomit onto the ground, coughing and hacking before covering his mouth with his blood stained palm. Hid dark skin slowly began to revert to it's pale white which glistened with sweat. His dark hair slowly returning to it's original smoke grey and the glow in his eyes dimming.

At the same time this was happening, Link, and Navi had rushed out to the field, despite his injuries. Link gasped at the sight of you clutching Helio in your palms, your back slashed and bleeding along with Dark Link hunching over and covering his mouth with his bloody palm.

"_-_________? What happened??"he asked in a panic. Navi gasped and hovered down over your palm by Helio. His glowing red light was slowing dimming.

"Helio….N-no…Helio!"she cried, nestling herself against the other fairy. Link blinked the tears away in his eyes that he hadn't realized were forming and looked over at Dark Link. He glared menacingly as he stomped over and pulled the other male up, only to grab him by the collar and slam his back hard against a nearby tree.

"You did this didn't you?!! You killed Helio and injured ________!!"he shouted. As if snapping out of a trance, Dark Link looked up at Link with shocked and denying eyes.

"W-what? No I didn't mean-"

"Shut up! I don't want to hear your excuses!!! You're a monster! A demon! You nearly killed ________!"Link yelled. Dark Link glanced over at you, gasping when he saw the sight in which he had created himself.

"I-I…I didn't….I'm..so sorry…"he mumbled.

"You're sorry?! Thats all you have to say for yourself?!! You're betrayed us!! We trusted you and you nearly killed ______!! I knew you didn't really love her!"Link screamed.

"Thats not true! I do love her!!!"Dark Link screamed back.

"No you don't! You're just crazy and obsessed with her!!"Link pulled back from Dark Link and picked up his sword tightly. Ignoring his own wounds that were throbbing he swung it across Dark Link's chest, causing his dark red blood to spurt out of him and the male to collapse to his knees on the ground.

Dark Link placed a hand over hid wound and looked up at Link who was glaring down. His cruel Icy blue stare had murder swirling in them and for the first time….Dark Link…was afraid.

"Don't ever come near ______ again. If you do…I'll kill you without hesitation. You are not my brother, nor any friend of ours. We're enemies." Link scowled, before slamming his foot hard into Dark Link's side and kicking him into the rushing river, letting the water sweep his body away. Dark Link didn't say a word nor resist when Link pushed him in. He felt numb to everything and weak. To weak to say anything..to weak to move. He simply closed his eyes and allowed the current to carry him back to his exiled place.

You were to distraught over Helio to realize what had just happened between the brothers. Your tears fell down onto your palms around Helio as he laid limp in your hands.

Link walked over and sat beside you as Navi nestled herself against him, sobbing as well. In mere seconds Helio's glowed had dimmed to a point where he wasn't glowing at all. His light had gone out and you could see his fully crushed tiny body.

His red hair was fanned out beneath his small head. His red eyes dimmed and half-lidded, no life left within them once so ever. You whimpered at the sight and brought Helio back to your chest. Navi flew up and hid herself in Link's hat while he comforted you as you cried.

Your friend was gone. Your partner. Your companion. Your guidance. Your light in the darkness. Now he's nothing more than a squished fairy who died trying to protect you and you never once got to tell him how much you appreciated him. How much his little glow brought you warmth. How much you enjoyed his company. Now he's to never know the feelings you harbored for your little fairy. The fairy you loved like a best friend. The fairy who was your best friend, crushed by the man you loved.

The tears ran down your cheeks like a stream as you cried your heart out. Link wrapped his arms around you and pulled you against his chest, where you instinctively buried your face to mask the sounds of your anguish. Your heartache. Your despair.

Link rubbed your back in small circles as the two of you huddled together, mourning the loss of your little friend. Your little companion who had given his life to save yours.

Dark Link's eyes opened slowly and he regained consciousness. He felt the feeling of soft sand beneath his cheek and heard the sounds of seagulls flocking above him. He felt the chilling water crashing gently against his lower torso, hips, and legs. Slowly, he sat up and pulled himself fully onto shore. Where was he? A beach?

He looked around, nothing seemingly familiar catching his eyes. He looked up and was nearly startled by a large moon in the sky with a face that would sure to fuel even a demon like his nightmares.

Was this Dark Link's place of exile? He looked around once more, seeming to be the only living thing there besides the flocking seagulls above. He stood slowly and walked down the shore, calling to anyone who may be near..but all he got was an echo. As he walked, he passed a sign that read:

"Great Bay Coast."

Dark Link's place of Isolation.
