You and Jeff walked side by side down the dusty asylum. Jeff frequently glanced at you but noticed the fact that you were acting quite odd. For instance, you seemed to be distant from him and didn't want to say much to him. You also didn't look at him or tried your best not to. You didn't even want him to touch you and every time he did or would try you would either cringe up or simply move away from him. Jeff was growing worried.

"Hey.."his voice broke the silence.

"W-What?"your voice responded.

"Are you alright? You seem a bit..distant.."Jeff told you.

"I'm just tired.."you lied.

"_______..if there is something bothering you..you know you can tell me."Jeff pried.

"Nothing's bothering me Jeff.."you said, hoping that your short answers will get him off your back; However, they only made Jeff pry more. He stopped in mid stride and turned to you.

"________..I know when something is wrong with you. I've been with you long enough to know when something is on your ind now just tell me what it is!"he said, raising his voice slightly.

"Jeff it's nothing!"you shouted back.

"Don't lie to me!" Suddenly, Jeff had you pinned to the asylum wall. His hands gripping your wrists firmly and holding them up on both sides of your head. Your eyes averted each other as he held you. "Don't lie...please..tell me..talk to me.."

He pleaded to you but you couldn't answer him. Your dream from the night before began to replay in your mind and you were scared. You were paralyzed and trembling in his hands.

Noticing this, Jeff's eyes widen and he stares at you.

"_______..you're trembling..What scares you?"he asks. Slowly, your eyes met his and your quivering lips parted to speak.

"Y-you.."That one word was all Jeff needed to hear to make his world come crashing down around him. The one person that he truly cared about was now another on of his frightened victims. Jeff felt a pain come to his chest and he quickly released you. He stared at you in disbelief and shook his head.

"No..no..not you too..please..tell me that you're lying..."he pleaded but you shook your head and fell against the wall to the floor.

"No Jeff. I'm scared. I'm scared of you. You terrify me!"you cried. You watched Jeff through tear filled eyes as he backed away from you. He looked hurt yet just as frightened as you. With tears beginning to fall from his own dry eyes, Jeff turned quickly and ran away from you. Part of you wanted to call him back. Part of you wanted Jeff to hold you and comfort you, telling you it's alright but another part of you..the scared part, just let him go.

You were too much of a coward to go after him. But now without Jeff to lead you out of the Asylum, you were trapped in the realm of InSaNiTY.

"What do I do now..?"

"What do I do now?" Jeff roamed down the foggy road with his hands shoved in his pockets. His pale cheeks were stained with dried tears that made his face feel tight. He stared down at his laces sadly.

"She's afraid of me..My _______...what did I do to make her feel that way? I terrify her? Am I really..?"Jeff noticed a mirror drift by him. He didn't question how it was levitating in the air, this was the realm of InSaNiTY after all. It would frequently show him anything that pained his heart.

Jeff eyed his reflection as the mirror drifted by. Quickly, he grabbed it and held it up to his horrible disfigured face.

"Am I really..that scary?"

"Hell yeah you are. You're a monster!" Jeff's eyes widen as his own reflection began to talk back to him.

"What the fuck?"

"Jeff! You're Jeff the motherfucking killer! Of course you're scary! Just look at you! You're hideous! What girl wouldn't be afraid of you!"His reflection laughed.

"I'm not scary! Just shut up!"Jeff yelled.

"Oh face the facts Jeffery. You're right where you belong! Here in this realm! It's where you've always belonged! You monster. That's all you are..all you ever were and all you'll ever be.."

Jeff threw the mirror as far away from him as possible.

"I'm not a monster! I'm a person!"he shouted.

"Really? You really think so?"came a voice. The sound of this familiar voice made Jeff's heart nearly stop in mid beat. His eyes widened more than they ever could. Slowly, Jeff dared to turn around and match eyes with two blue ones. There before Jeff stood a boy with familiar brown hair, two sapphire eyes similar to his very own, and lightly tanned skin.

"L-Liu..?"Jeff voiced quietly. He was in so much shock that he could barely speak.

"Hello Jeff.."Liu said. Jeff could see slight anger in his brother's eyes but he was too consumed by his own shock to ask about it.

"L-Liu..what are you doing here?"he asks.

"What am I doing here? Well let's see..I seemed to be banished here after you slipped that knife into my chest that night. Oh and by the way, my chest still hurts like a motherfucker!"Liu growled. Jeff flinched slightly at his brother's tone and aimed his gaze at his shoes that were stained with dry blood.

"I-I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..I never meant to.."Jeff whimpered.

"You never meant to what? Kill your whole family? Please Jeff. Give me a break. Look at yourself. Look at what you've become. You say you didn't mean to kill but yet you've never stopped! You're covered with blood! You could have stopped. You know you could have, yet you didn't. Now look at yourself. You've finally found somebody to love yet you can't even do that properly without letting your insanity show. EVen after you've gotten a second chance."Liu scowled.

Jeff just stood there quietly as his brother scorned his actions. Liu placed his hands on his hips and glared at Jeff.

"Well? What do you have to say for yourself?" Jeff glanced up at his brother and shrugged his shoulders sadly.

"I..I don't know. You're right. I am insane and I probably am a monster. I should have stopped then but I didn't. I couldn't."Jeff brought his stained hands up to his face, them trembling as his examined them."BUt you don't know what it's like Liu! Being bullied the way I was after you were taken! What I've been through! You don't know shit about it!" Jeff began to shout, eying his brother coldly.

"I am a monster. I'm Jeff the Killer but it's not like I wanted to be this way! I was driven to it! I'm sick and tired of everyone playing the fucking victim in my story! I was the fucking victim! Me! I was the one attacked, shot at, burned, nearly killed!! It was all me! I defended myself! I didn't cower out like you did Liu! You left me alone to fend for myself! You did this to me! You did! You did! You did!"

Jeff's hands began to form into fists as he collapsed to the ground on his knees. He pounded those pale fists into the ground repeatedly until they bled all the while yelling out everything that burned within his heart. When his rage was at it's end, Jeff glanced up at Liu who stood there with cold eyes and crossed arms.

He scoffed at Jeff and turned his back to him.

"Tch, you're pathetic Jeff.."he growled. Jeff stood up and opened his mouth to retort to his brother's comment but Liu wasn't finished.

"But still..I've seen how you fight for this girl and..though you've killed me..I..I'm proud of you bro. You've really grown up." he finished. Jeff's eyes widen a bit as Liu turned to face him, revealing the small tears falling from his own blue eyes and without any warning, Liu embraced Jeff tightly and held him close.

"L-Liu..?"

"I love you Jeff. Always will bro."Liu whispered. Jeff now found tears falling form his own eyes as he returned the firm brotherly embrace.

"I love you too Liu.." And as quickly as he had come, Liu was gone and Jeff was alone again. He wiped his tears gently and turned back to the direction of Asylum where he had left you. Slowly, he began to walk back.

You sat alone in the dusty hall of the Asylum. You wondered where Jeffery was but yet made no effort to go find him for you were too afraid to even move from your spot. However, your loneliness was quickly gone when a tall clown drifted down beside you.

"Eh'..what's your problem?"Laughing Jack asked. You glared up at him and turned your head from him.

"Go away you creepy clown.."you tell him. Laughing Jack frowned at your comment but sighed and took his spot in front of you. He sat with his legs crossed and hands resting on his ankles. He stared at you for a while.

"...I wasn't always a creepy clown you know.."he said softly. You glanced at him from the corner of your eyes. "I actually used to be quite good with children, always making them laugh and what not. I actually found joy in it..and I used to wear very colorful clothes and my hair was quite bright too!"he says.

"Oh yeah, so what happened?"you ask. Laughing Jack shrugged.

"I..I don't know. It's been so long now I just can't remember. It feels like one moment I'm patches the clown and the next, I'm laughing Jack."Laughing Jack sighed. You both stared at each other in silence before you averted your gaze to the ground.

"Do you miss being Patches?"you ask. Laughing Jack shrugged.

"Never really thought about it I guess."he responds.

"D-do you think Jeff misses being Jeffery?"you asked quietly.

"No doubt about it!"Laughing Jack blurted, causing you to look up and into his eyes. "Jeff always wished he could go back. I remember that when he first came here. He's full of regrets that boy. His life is one big regret. Nobody to love or be loved by. Everything thinks he's just a monster now and he's alone in the world. Can't say I blame the kid though. He's still young, too young to be as alone in the world as he is. Everyone is afraid of that boy. I think he's afraid himself." Laughing Jack tells you.

"But that's not true! Jeff has all the other creeps doesn't he?"you ask. Laughing Jack sits up straight and crosses his arms.

"Let me ask you something ______...would you consider those creeps human per say?"he asks.

"N-no.."

"What about Jeff. I she a human in your eyes?"

"Yes but-"

"And if he's in that place with all the other creeps, doesn't that make him the only human left? He's still a person. A young boy with a heart, feelings, everything. Yet nobody sees him like that anymore which is why Jeff keeps killing. It's his way of crying out for attention. He wants somebody to not fear him and actually see who he is on the inside. Listen _______..I know you're afraid of Jeff now but..you shouldn't abandon him. Not now when you need each other the most."

You and Laughing Jack stare at each other before you stood slowly and began to walk away. You went to find Jeff.
