Description
This is a new oc of mine hehe-His name is Shade, he’s bisexual, currently has no S/O or crush, is the king of shadows (personal au don’t take this personally lmao-) and he’s got a few tricks up his sleeve! Er..lack there of really.
He can shapeshift, cause he’s a physical shadow haha-
So if you show him someone, not something, he will turn into it if he feels like humoring himself.
His crown can split into many shards, which become poisonous and can kill someone if hit with enough shards.
He can create tendrils at will, and use them however he pleases ((*cough cough* @aouathesketon *cough* ))
And he can literally absorb things. Yeah. An odd one.
Anyways hdjdn if you wanna interact with him you can I guess haha—

Mr. Mxyzptlk: *basically floating around trying to find a perfect spot to sit in due to him wearing a Hawaiian shirt and swim trunks and the fact the place is named Paradise, however as he was trying to find a perfect spot he bumped into Shade* HEY WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?!

Shade tilts his head, and blinks.
“Am I really that tall to where dolts like you can still bump into me? Pathetic.” He snarls, visibly annoyed.

Shade: Well sorry to disappoint you but Paradise has no beaches, palm trees or any other beach-related thing, small human.
Mr. Mxyzptlk: Grrr.....
Shade: *he then recognizes him by his purple hat and his Gilbert Gottfried-like voice* Hey...aren't you that 5th dimensional imp from the realm known as the 5th Dimension in which is also the realm where Bat-Mite and Impossible Man reside in? Many people have heard about you here!

“What were you about to say there, dear~?” Shade coos, looming over Red with a smirk on his face.
“Oh speak of the devil here he is.” I say.

Red blushes badly and quickly turns his head away to hide his blush "n-n-nothing!"

“Aww~ seems like someone is a little flustered, and possibly has a bit of a crush hmm~?” Shade teases, chuckling.
“I’ll just leave you two alone-“ I say before running off.

Red shakes his head and keeps reminding himself that he had corrupt. And that he'd never hear the end of it. "N-n-no! None whatsoever!" He was still blushing, and couldn't stop.

Shade smirks, and picks up Red with a tendril, coiling it around him and squeezing him softly, almost like a snake as he puts his hands on his hips.
“You sure bout that darling?” He coos.

Red squeals softly, and squirms. "Y-y-yeah I'm s-s-sure!" His voice cracked slightly, as he was slightly afraid.

Shade chuckles, leaning in almost uncomfortably close to Red.
“Don’t be afraid now, I’m not picking you up to hurt you, I can promise you that, Darling.” His time is now more soft, and he loosens the tendril a little. He could sense Red was scared, and that’s not at all what he wanted.

Red swallows hard and squirms again. Not liking how close shade was getting. "G-get back.."

“Alright, alright...I’ll back off.” Shade responds, and also letting Red free of the tendril. He could tell how scared Red was, and he didn’t like that. He blinks, and then shifts into a form much similar to Red’s, though he was still completely black with his blue eyes and..really odd lower half.

Red rubs his arms and looks away, blushing still. "...."

Shade tilts his head, and gets ever so slightly closer again, seeming to be looking over Red carefully, and adjusting his form to pretty much exactly copy red’s top half. Still as a black shadow though.

Red glances over at shade, and narrows his eyes slightly. "W-w-what are y-you doing..?"

“Trying to make you feel more comfortable with my presence, small shape.” He states calmly, and then reverts back to his normal looks with a hiss of pain.
“But..it seems my body does not like taking your looks..how peculiar..”

Red sighed and held his arms close. "I-im not supposed to exist...so I could understand why it hurts to look like me.."

“You’re not? But you’re such a beautiful specimen..” Shade gets a little closer again, still examining Red closely.

Red chuckles sadly. "Call it whatever you want..." he wasn't paying attention, and was smiling sadly at the ground.

Shade blinks, and then lifts Red’s Face to look at him. He was oddly gentle with how he touched Red now, as if even touching him slightly too hard could shatter him.
“Your Face is more beautiful than the rest of you..such pretty eyes..”

Red blushes again, and looks away from him. "I-i wouldn't say there pretty.." he couldn't help but scream internally, as he'd barely had any physical contact in awhile.

Shade narrows his eyes on Red.
“Don’t you say that..you’re such a beautiful shape..you would make a fine addition to the rest of my fellow shadows..your beauty would paralyze the rest of them..but, I can tell you wouldn’t like the process, nor being a shadow..so I won’t make you into one without your full consent. But, I have a feeling that won’t happen..which is understandable..”

Red tilted his head slightly "you...can turn others into...shadows...?" His voice was hushed and surprised, he wasn't expecting this.

“Indeed. Though.. there is a small possibility that the process will just kill someone..and I wouldn’t want to kill you and your counterpart, Red.” Wait. How did he know red’s name..? Nobody had said it to him..

Red narrows his eyes on shade. "How...how do you know my name..? And my counterpart?"

“I know a lot of things, Red..even things I wish I wouldn’t know. Like the size of a whale dick compared to a person. That’s terrifying, please never bring this up again.” Shade just blinks at Red, and then realized what he said.
“That..sounded very gay of me to say...huh.”

Red chuckled and sighs. "Yeah...it kinda was. Although I'm not bothered by it...considering I'm pretty gay myself..."

“I..yeah I kind of am too..sorta..” Shade lets go of Red’s face, and rubs his arm a little, glancing away from him.

Red looks at him, and smiles sadly. "No need to be ashamed. It's alright."

“You sure? The Queen sure hated me for it when she was actually..alive..” Shade sighs, but smiles a little.
“I got rid of her for the good of myself and others. So nobody else would have to suffer from her cruel grip.”

Red sighs and tries to actually smile. "At least you did the right thing. If she couldn't love you for who you were, then I'm glad you got rid of her. For both you're sake, and you're people's."

Shade looks back at Red, and tilts his head at him.
“You’re very..understanding, you know that?”

Red chuckles and looks down again. "I try to understand people. It helps when you try to understand."

“It does..you’re more understanding than I’m used to, however.” Shade states, tilting his head at Red.

Red gives him this confused look. "I-is that a bad thing..?"

“No, not at all. It’s just..strange.” Shade smiles a little, and blinks at Red.

Red tilts his head slightly and smiles. "Well I've always been strange. So I'm glad nothing's changed."

“I..see. Do you know where your counterpart- I mean Blue is?” He asks, tilting his head a little.

Red looks back towards where the center of paradise is. "Yes. He is watching Orchid, tetra, and corrupt for me." He had slight amusement in his tone.

“Could..I meet them..?” He asks, a little anxious sounding at the moment.

Red looks back at him and nods. "Sure. Just prepare yourself for questions."

“I’m quite alright with questions! As long as they aren’t too personal, that is..” He sighs.

Red shrugs and motions for him to follow. "You might want to avoid Orchid then."

Shade follows Red, seeming to have perked up more.
“I should be fine, if I get uncomfortable I’ll just voice it in a not aggressive way.” He seems a little more positive now, and smiles a tad bit more.

Red chuckles and shakes his head. He looks ahead and smiles at his family, as blue was laying on top of corrupt. ((Not letting him up-)) and Orchid was teaching tetra the basics of how to care for, surprisingly, orchids.
