I had a very interesting day, one which I will elaborate on in my journal in a couple days. It can be classified as a failure, if you look at a stand point of what was supposed to go down.
To cheer myself up I went and took pictures in a valley close to my house. The weather was so intense that I took pictures for two hours, and wouldn't be surprised if I upload a couple from the day.
My consolation prize for a shitty day, is some good pictures, which calms me down.
I am trying to practice good lighting, and it is the focus of all my study with photography right now.
That tree in the bottom just kinda popped into the pictures when I started laying on the floor. I found this funny because about an hour before I went out, I was reading a lighting book, and the guy mentioned how good photographers just seem to find something interesting for the camera to see bi-accident. And that the better you get, the more Bi-accidents you make happen. I think I am starting to make them happen a lot, and it makes me smile.
I leaned over tilted the camera, and for the first time saw the tree in the back round, said to myself oh gosh I cannot believe it just happened after reading it. Click.
I was using a UV filter and a Circular Polarizer in this pictures.

You know what I live in a desert. And every time i browse DA I go fuck, I wish I lived in a place like that.
What you have to do is really just keep an eye for how your environment is, and exploit the beauty that it has. Every place does. You just have to find it.
I cursed that I was in a desert for awhile, but now I am proud that I have the job of showing what is out here.
