Trying to second guess people here is harder than trying to get photography work in the UK at the moment!!! So do what your heart tells you.
With regards the image (and the last one) I love that you are really working on developing narratives within your images.
That is something that is incredibly difficult to learn (and teach), so the fact you doing it naturally bodes really well for the future.
